Non-Accredited Courses
Evac-You-8 offers Non-Accredited courses for general staff training for any organisation.
The following courses meet basic training requirements, but are not as extensive as the Accredited courses that are also available.
GenStaff – General Staff Emergency
Staff induction training designed to identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations.
Evac-You-8 focuses on how to minimise risks in the workplace that could potentially create emergency situations.
EvacPrinc – Evacuation Principles
The training in this course emphasizes the roles and responsibilities of general staff, and how they should respond to an emergency situation. The course highlights different emergency situations that could occur in facilities with the main focus on fire emergencies and trains staff in the Emergency Procedures framework (RACE).
FERT 1.02 – Use of Fire Equipment
Evac-You-8 conducts a theoretical session on to the control and / or limit of an emergency situation and the workplace emergency fire response. After this session, the Trainer will then conduct a practical application exercise of fire fighting equipment on Evac-You-8 purpose-designed controlled Hot-Fire.
PracEvac – Practice Evacuation Exercise
Classed as an emergency response exercise, Practice Evacuations must be completed by all areas of facility at least once in each 12 month period as required by AS 3745-2010. Evac-You-8 will conduct and observe Practice Evacuations; this includes a brief before and debrief after the evacuation and a report with the outcomes and any deficiencies that were identified at the briefing sessions.
Armed Holdup
Evac-You-8 offers training in order to guide staff in the correct procedures used to deal with this type of threat. The training will focus on assessing the threat; preparing your premises and procedures to minimise the threat; and in the event of a Hold-Up, what to do and what NOT to do.
Bomb or Substance Threat
Designed to help people respond to and deal with a threat in accordance with Australian Standard 3745-2010 and current procedures provided by the Australian Bomb Data Centre (ABDC). The training focuses on the Do’s & Don’ts, responding to a threat and recognising suspect items.
